This was my first try at a pinch pot, and besides my thicker sides, it was split and done well.

Animal Sculpture

Plan:

- Cut clay from the wedged clay, roll into a ball

- Start to form a pinch pot

- Once the pinch pot is complete

- I used my fingers to slowly spread the edges

- Rough the edges to give it a look of flower petals

- It was fired once and turned into buisk wear

- Painted green and with pink color, Jungle gems

- Lastly, fire with those and clear glaze.

I was happy with how my painted pinch pot turned out. One thing that I would change is that I would maybe add texture to the flower petals and make them look more defined.

Plan:

- Cut some clay from my wedged clay

- Roll into a ball

- Start to form a pinch pot

- Finish one pinch pot

- Repeat the previous steps to make the second pinch pot

- Place the two pots on top of each other, top to top

- carve out the top to make the clay 'bowl-like'

- I cut the top off and turned it into a handel!

-Then underglaze!

When building my pinch pots, I knew I wanted them to be wider and smaller, so I tried that. In the end, I am glad with how the pot turned out. I then glazed it light blue inside and dark outside with black poka pots, and then the clear Glaze!

My animal is a brown bear for my statue. I was able to unerglaze it and then fire it to become buisk wear. When I started to make the creature I had to start over the legs and hands many times. It was mistake to make the stomach as small as I did wihs it was more belly like. However I am happy with how it turned out.

Plan:

- Cut some clay from my wedged clay

- Flatten wedged clay into an even surface

-smooth on slab roaller to amke even

- Cut into square

- Underglaze the desgin

- Fire

- Clear Glaze

I was happy with how my historical piece turned out. I really like how I was able to incorparate all the right colors in Starry Night. I would want to change how I did the black tower in it. I feel that it is not correct and even though the real painting is. Also I would also pick different colors for the bottom part; I think the blue is too green. Overall though, I really like the piece and would like to see the improvemnets if I were to try this again!

Choice!
